Setting Up Your Domain
NOTE: Custom domain support is available with Plus and Premium subscriptions. If you don't have a Plus subscription, you can still use a subdomain for your job board.
This guide explains how to configure your organization's subdomain and custom domain settings.
Subdomain Configuration
A subdomain allows you to have a branded URL for your organization's job board (e.g., your-company.app.oneclickworker.com
).
Setting Up Your Subdomain
- Navigate to the Organization Settings page at https://app.oneclickworker.com/organization
- Locate the "Subdomain" field in the form
- Enter your desired subdomain name
- Only lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens are allowed
- No spaces or special characters
- Examples:
acme-inc
,tech-solutions
,your-company-name
- The system will automatically check if your chosen subdomain is available
- If available: You'll see no error message
- If unavailable: You'll see "This subdomain is already taken"
- Once you've chosen an available subdomain, click "Save" at the bottom of the form
Subdomain Best Practices
- Keep it short: Choose a concise subdomain that's easy to remember
- Use your brand name: Ideally, use your company or organization name
- Avoid numbers when possible: Unless they're part of your brand name
- Use hyphens instead of spaces: For multi-word names, separate with hyphens
- Avoid abbreviations: Unless they're widely recognized for your brand
Using Your Subdomain
Once your subdomain is set up:
- Your organization's job board will be accessible at
https://[your-subdomain].app.oneclickworker.com
- You can share this URL with potential candidates
- All your job listings will be accessible through this URL
Custom Domain Configuration (Plus Subscription)
With a Plus subscription, you can use your own custom domain for your job board (e.g., jobs.yourcompany.com
).
Prerequisites
- You must have an active Plus or Premium subscription
- You must own the domain you want to use
- You need access to your domain's DNS settings
Setting Up Your Custom Domain
- Navigate to the Organization Settings page
- Locate the "Custom Domain" section (only visible with Plus/Premium subscription)
- Enter your desired custom domain
- Example:
jobs.yourcompany.com
orcareers.yourcompany.com
- Do not include
http://
orhttps://
- Example:
- Click "Save" at the bottom of the form
DNS Configuration
After saving your custom domain, you'll need to configure your DNS settings:
- Log in to your domain registrar (e.g., GoDaddy, Namecheap, Google Domains)
- Navigate to the DNS settings for your domain
- Add a new CNAME record with the following values:
- Type: CNAME
- Name/Host: The subdomain you want to use (e.g.,
jobs
orcareers
) - Value/Target:
cname.app.oneclickworker.com
- TTL: 3600 (or default)
Verification and Activation
- DNS changes typically take 24-48 hours to propagate
- Once propagation is complete, your custom domain will automatically activate
- You can verify it's working by visiting your custom domain in a browser
Custom Domain Best Practices
- Choose a relevant subdomain: Use terms like
jobs
,careers
, orwork
- Keep it professional: Your domain represents your employer brand
