Setting up email identity
Setting Up Your Email Identity
This guide explains how to set up and configure your email identity in the OneClickWorker platform, which determines how your emails appear to recipients and your email address format.
Understanding Your OneClickWorker Email Address
When using the OneClickWorker email system, you'll send and receive emails using a personalized email address in the format:
username@mail.oneclickworker.com
Where "username" is derived from your display name configured in your profile settings.
For example:
- If your display name is set to "John.Smith", your email address will be
john.smith@mail.oneclickworker.com
- Emails will be sent with the display name "John Smith"
Accessing Email Settings
To configure your email identity:
- Log in to your OneClickWorker account at https://app.oneclickworker.com/
- Navigate to the Profile section from the main navigation menu or by going to
/profile
- Scroll down to the "Email Settings" section
Configuring Your Display Name
The display name setting serves two important purposes:
- It determines the username portion of your OneClickWorker email address
- It sets the display name that recipients will see when you send emails
To set or update your display name:
- In the Email Settings section of your profile, locate the "Display Name" field
- Enter your preferred name in the format you wish to use (e.g., "John.Smith", "Jane.Doe")
- Click the "Save" button to apply your changes
Display Name Guidelines
When choosing your display name, consider these guidelines:
- Use a professional format, typically your first and last name
- Separate name parts with periods (e.g., "First.Last")
- Avoid using special characters other than periods
- Choose a name that clearly identifies you to recipients
How Your Display Name Affects Your Email
Your display name setting has two effects:
-
Email Address: The display name is converted to lowercase and used as the username portion of your email address. For example, "John.Smith" becomes
john.smith@mail.oneclickworker.com
. -
Sender Name: When recipients receive your emails, they will see your display name as the sender name. For example, if your display name is "John.Smith", recipients will see "John Smith" as the sender.
Verifying Your Email Configuration
After setting up your email identity:
- Navigate to the Inbox section from the main navigation menu
- Compose a test email to yourself or a colleague
- Check that the email is sent from your expected email address
- Verify that the recipient sees your correct display name
