Email Settings

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for configuring your email settings in OneClickWorker.

Understanding Email Settings

OneClickWorker allows you to customize the display name used for your email communications. This display name is used as the sender name when emails are sent from the system on your behalf.

Accessing Email Settings

  1. Log in to OneClickWorker with your credentials
  2. Click on your profile picture in the top-right corner of the screen
  3. Select "Profile" from the dropdown menu
  4. Scroll down to the "Email Settings" section

Configuring Your Email Display Name

Your email display name determines how your name appears in the "From" field of emails sent from the system. To configure your email display name:

  1. Navigate to the Profile page
  2. Scroll down to the "Email Settings" section
  3. Locate the "Email Display Name" field
  4. Enter your preferred display name (e.g., "john.smith")
  5. Click the "Save Settings" button to apply your changes

Email Address Format

When you set your display name, your email address will be formatted as:

[display_name]@app.oneclickworker.com

For example, if you enter "john.smith" as your display name, your email address will be:

john.smith@app.oneclickworker.com

Best Practices for Email Display Names

When choosing your email display name, consider the following best practices:

  • Use a professional name format (e.g., first.last, firstlast, first_last)
  • Avoid using special characters other than periods, underscores, or hyphens
  • Choose a name that recipients will recognize
  • Consider using your actual name for better recognition
  • Keep it simple and easy to remember

Verifying Your Email Settings

After saving your email settings, you can verify that they have been applied correctly:

  1. The success message "Email settings updated successfully" will appear briefly
  2. Your new display name will be shown in the "Email Display Name" field
  3. All future emails sent from the system will use your new display name

Common Issues

Display Name Already in Use

If the display name you've chosen is already in use by another user, you may need to choose a different display name. Try adding a number or using a different format.

Changes Not Saving

If you're having trouble saving your email settings:

  1. Make sure you're connected to the internet
  2. Refresh the page and try again
  3. Ensure your display name doesn't contain invalid characters
  4. Check that you've clicked the "Save Settings" button
