Overview
Custom onboarding allows you to create tailored onboarding plans for individual team members, ensuring each employee follows an optimal path based on their background and organizational requirements.
Accessing Onboarding
- Log in to your OneClickWorker account at https://app.oneclickworker.com/.
- In the main navigation menu, click HRO Admin.
- Click on Onboarding.
Creating a Custom Onboarding Plan
- On the Onboarding dashboard, click Create A Template.
- Enter a Template Name and, optionally, a Description (e.g., "Nurse Onboarding Plan").
- The new template will appear in your templates list.
Adding Sections and Items
- Click Sections and Items for your template.
- To add a section:
- Enter a Section Title.
- Click Add Section.
- (Optional) Click Edit Section to add or update a description, then save.
- To add an item within a section:
- Click Add Item inside the desired section.
- Enter an Item Name and (optionally) a Description.
- Select the Item Type (Checklist, Text Response, Multiple Choice, File Upload, or Acknowledgment).
- Save the item.
- Continue adding sections and items until your onboarding plan is complete.
Assigning an Onboarding Plan
- Click Assignments in the Onboarding section.
- Select the onboarding template you want to assign.
- (Optional) Set a Deadline Date.
- Select one or more team members to assign the onboarding plan to.
- Click Assign To User.
- You will see a confirmation of the assignment.
Completing an Assigned Onboarding Plan (Team Member View)
- Team members log in and navigate to HRO > Onboarding in the main menu.
- Assigned onboarding plans appear in their dashboard.
- Click on an onboarding plan to open it.
- Work through each step, marking each item as complete as you progress.
- Users are required to mark each step as complete individually (not all at once).
- This allows onboarding to be completed over time.
- Items that are not yet completed are shown in a panel at the bottom of the plan.
- Once all required items are complete, click Submit Assignment.
Reviewing Completion and Results (Manager View)
- As a manager, return to the Assignments section.
- Select the team member to view detailed information about their onboarding progress.
- You can see which tasks and instructions have been completed, which are outstanding, and review all responses and uploads.
Best Practices
- Create onboarding plans tailored to specific roles or departments for maximum effectiveness.
- Use a mix of item types (e.g., acknowledgments, file uploads, checklists) to cover all onboarding needs.
- Encourage team members to complete onboarding gradually, marking items as complete over time.
- Regularly review onboarding progress and follow up with team members as needed.
Troubleshooting
Issue | Solution |

Cannot create or assign onboarding plans | Ensure you have admin access and a paid plan. |
Team member cannot see assigned onboarding | Confirm the assignment and that the user has access. |
Cannot submit onboarding assignment | Ensure all required items are marked as complete. |
Progress not saved | Mark each item as complete and check the completion panel. |
Note: All onboarding templates, assignments, and completions are managed through the Onboarding dashboard under HRO Admin.
